Competition Rules

The first named player in any of the Club Knock Out Competitions is the challenger, the second named player the opponent.

It is the challenger's responsibility to contact the opponent to arrange the game. At least two dates (more preferably) should be offered to the opponent. This should be done no later than 10 days before the closing date of each round.

All singles matches need a marker. lt is the challenger's responsibility to arrange for a marker.

It is the challenger's responsibility to enter the game in the DIARY on the appropriate date and indicating the start time (a specific rink may be requested but this will be subject to availability). DIARY entry must state players names and competition.

It is the challenger's responsibility to check the game has been confirmed (it will have been ticked in the diary) and entered on the relevant DAY SHEET.

Once the game has been played, it is the challenger's responsibility to check that the completed score card is correct: ensure the competition, players' names and final scores are clearly legible and put it in the Competition Results Folder in the top draw of the desk in the clubhouse. Then email, text, or WhatsApp the Competition Secretary to inform him of the result.

Note to the challengers - the earlier you contact your opponent the easier it will be to arrange a suitable date and time. If attempts to contact opponent have been unsuccessful, please advise the Competition Secretary.

Note to the opponents. - 7 days before closing date of each round, if the challenger has not offered any dates, please advise the Competition Secretary. If a game has not been arranged and played by the closing date of each round the Competition Secretary will decide whether either or neither player will advance to the next round.

Should there be any queries please contact the Competition Secretary.
