Friday League Description and Rules
The Friday League starts on Friday 8th May 2026 and runs on consecutive Fridays until Friday 21st August 2026. Please arrive by 4.45pm at the latest each week to register your name with Norman or his deputy for that weeks order of play. The draw for each week will take place at 4.50pm . £1 Green Fee is payable by each person at registration.
Please note that late arrivals after 4.45will not be entered into the draw as the format of play for that evening will have been set.
The format for each week will be according to the number of registered players and will be:
- 6 players: 1 x Triples
- 8 players: 2 x Pairs
- 10 players: 1 x Triples + 1 x Pairs
- 12 players: 2 x Triples
- 14 players: 1 x Triples + 2 x Pairs
- 16 players: 2 x Triples + 1 x Pairs
- 18 players: 3 x Triples
- 20 players: 2 x Triples + 2 x Pairs
- 22 players: 3 x Triples + 1 x Pairs
All games will be played over 16 ends. If for a particular reason a game cannot be completed then the result will stand if 12 ends have been completed.
Points will be awarded each week to players as follows:
- 3 points each for all Winning players
- 2 points each for all Drawing players
- 1 point each for all Losing players
- 0 points to all non-playing players
